Just edit your bashrc, add this line somewhere:
\nsmiley () { if [ $? == 0 ]; then echo ':)';else echo ':(';fi; }<\/code>
\nand then change your PS1 line to include this:
\n\\$(smiley)<\/code>
\nin the beggining…so that it looks somewhat like this:
\nPS1=\"\\$(smiley) \\[\\033[01;31m\\]\\h\\[\\033[01;34m\\] \\W \\$\\[\\033[00m\\] \"<\/code><\/p>\n
